Since 1996

Actually, Pat and Tom’s experience in the automotive service industry goes back a long way prior to starting their own business, JC Motors, in 1996.

Pat graduated early from high school and enrolled in a two-year automotive degree program. Upon graduation, he went to work at his brother’s auto repair shop for a few years. After moving to Oregon Pat spent 15 years as a repair technician with Goodyear Tire Company. He left Goodyear as a certified ASE Master Mechanic to pursue his dream of owning his own business.

But first, he needed a partner that shared his business philosophy that honest hard work would pay off. Pat reached out to an old Goodyear associate, Tom, who would complement his back-end shop skills with front-end management and customer service expertise. Tom was also a fair auto service tech himself.

Tom started his automotive service industry career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after getting out of the Army. He eventually moved up in the company to the store manager. Tom managed stores for Goodyear in Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii until 1996 when he joined Pat in the purchase of JC Motors. For both Pat and Tom this was the beginning of their dreams of owning and operating their own business.

They committed to a business philosophy of providing their customers with honest, dependably superior service. Keeping their customer’s vehicles safe, dependable, and efficient would govern their business. Earning their customer’s trust is how their business would be built.
